Handle : Marquetry made with african ebony and french boxwood , providing a comfortably large handle . Traditionnal shepherd's cross.
Blade : Twist stainless 160 layers Damascus steel from Sweden, 3mm thick. Hardness: 56 Hrc.
Spring : The ' Bee ' spring is made from 3mm thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid bladestop is used in all of our springs. That helps maintain the edge of the blade. The traditional bee is solid and forged into the spring. The spring and bee are then hand-chased with a file : This denotes artisan quality, unlike inexpensive mass market products that have welded springs and are machine decorated. These details create a unique Laguiole knife, making each knife one of a kind.
Plates and Bolsters :1.2mm thick stainless steel with 2 solid bolsters. Brass is also available (see options) .
