Handle: Real fossilized mammoth ivory. Because of its uniqueness, aspect and color of the knife can be different from the model shown.
Blade : Swedish Damascus Stainless steel,120 layers, 3 mm thick . Hardness : 56 Hrc.
Spring : The spring is made from a 3mm thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid bladestop is provided on all of our springs : that shall keep a long time the edge of the blade. The traditionnal bee is solid, and forged into the spring. The whole spring & bee are then hand chased with a file. This denotes artisan quality, unlike inexpensive mass market products that have welded springs and are machine decorated. These details create a unique Laguiole knife, making each knife one of a kind.
Plates :1,2 mm thick stainless steel
Assembling : traditional, hand made silvernickel rivets.
Included : numbered guarantee certificate , simple leather pouch.
