Handle: real Pre-ban ivory , 8 mm slabs. Traditionnal shepherd's cross inlay. The back of the ivory handle is hand file worked (chiseled)
Blade : Swedish Stainless 12c27 Sandvik steel, 3 mm thick . Hardness : 56 Hrc.We also offer a 60Hrc hardenned special RWL34 swedish powder stainless steel for those who love knives with a longer sharp edge.
Spring : The spring is made from a 3mm thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid bladestop is provided on all of our springs : that shall keep a long time the edge of the blade. The traditionnal bee is solid, and forged into the spring. The whole spring & bee are then hand chased with a file, including below the screw.
We do never use the cheap mass product welded springs or industrially decorated.That makes each of our Laguiole knives one of a kind.
Plates : 1,2 mm thick stainless steel. Just as any knife without bolster, it must be used with care.
Corkscrew : 5 rings worm , 8 mm diam, hardenned and polished stainless steel . Made in Thiers- France. We proudly say that our corkscrew knives are easy to open & and can definitly open any kind of nice wine :-)
Assembling : traditional, hand made rivets.
Included : numbered guarantee certificate , simple leather pouch.
