Handle : 1st choice Ram horn tip , on which we use the outside bark part to make a comfortable handle.
Blade : Swedish 'Rose' stainless Damascus, 120 layers. Hardness : 56 Hrc.
Spring : The spring is made from a 3mm thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid bladestop is provided on all of our springs : that shall keep a long time the edge of the blade. The traditionnal bee is solid, and forged into the spring. The whole spring & bee are then hand chased with a file. This denotes artisan quality, unlike inexpensive mass market products that have welded springs and are machine decorated. These details create a unique Laguiole knife, making each knife one of a kind.
Plates & bolsters : 1,2 mm thick stainless steel with 2 solid bolsters. You can also choose brass (see options) at the same price
Assembling : traditional, hand made silvernickel rivets.
