"Rider" Model : Forged Horseshoe, chased 'hoof' handle at the back shepherd's cross.
Size and weight : 12cm folded, 21.5cm open, approx. 90 grams.
Handle : Amourette- Snakewood from french Guyana , 8 mm thick scales.
Blade : Swedish Stainless 12c27 Sandvik steel, 3 mm thick . Hardness : 56 Hrc. We also offer a 60Hrc hardenned special RWL34 swedish powder stainless steel for those who love knives with a longer sharp edge.
Spring : The spring is made from 3mm thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid bladestop is used in all of our springs. That helps maintain the edge of the blade. The traditional bee has been changed into a solid and forged horseshoe. This denotes artisan quality, unlike inexpensive mass market products that have welded springs and are machine decorated. These details create a unique Laguiole knife, making each knife one of a kind.
