Handle : Real pre-ban ivory, fully chased with a file in a vice.This model has been created in 2001 , as a replica of a XIX century model.
Blade : Carbon 176 Damascus steel, hand forged by François Morier (Switzerland), 3 mm thick . Hardness : 53 Hrc.
Spring : The spring is made from a 3mm thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid bladestop is provided on all of our springs : that shall keep a long time the edge of the blade. The traditionnal bee is solid, and forged into the spring. The whole spring & bee are then hand chased with a file. This denotes artisan quality, unlike inexpensive mass market products that have welded springs and are machine decorated. These details create a unique Laguiole knife, making each knife one of a kind.
Assembling : traditional, hand made silvernickel rivets.
