Handle: Real pre-ban ivory, 7 mm scales.The handle is chased as horse hoof. Other handles available upon request by e-mail.
Blade : Carbon Damascus 176 layers,hand froged by François Morier, 3 mm thick . Hardness : 52 Hrc.
Spring : The spring is made from a 3mm thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid bladestop is provided on all of our springs : that shall keep a long time the edge of the blade. The traditionnal bee has been replaced by a solid Horseshoe, and forged into the spring. The whole spring & bee are then hand chased with a file. This denotes artisan quality, unlike inexpensive mass market products that have welded springs and are machine decorated. These details create a unique Laguiole knife, making each knife one of a kind.
Plates & bolsters : 1,2 mm thick stainless steel with 1 solid bolster.
Assembling : traditional, hand made silvernickel rivets.
