Blade : Twist stainless Damascus steel from Sweden, 3 mm thick , 160 layers . Hardness: 54 Hrc.
Spring : The ' Bee 'spring is made from 3 mm thick stainless steel Z20c13. A solid bladestop is used in all of our springs. That helps maintain the edge of the blade. The traditional bee is solid and forged into the spring. The spring -including below the screw- and bee are then hand-chased with a file : This denotes artisan quality, unlike inexpensive mass market products that have welded springs and are machine decorated. These details create a unique Laguiole knife, making each knife one of a kind.
Corkscrew: The corkscrew has five rings, 8mm diameter and made of hardened and polished stainless steel. It is easy to open and glides into any type of cork.
