SpacePep's
Passionate about space, Space Pep's is a community of modern-day explorers based in Kourou, the space city par excellence. There, they design fascinating, unique and personalised objects for ‘earthlings’ who want to introduce a celestial touch into their daily lives.
Planet Earth, our home, shelters, nourishes and protects us. For SpacePep's, there is no doubt that their creations must embody transformation and innovation, while at the same time having a constant concern for preserving the environment. So they naturally chose Lavoisier as their mentor and faithfully follow his famous quote, which has become their motto: ‘Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed.

SpacePep's has carefully selected six species of Guyanese wood (PEFC certified), each with its own distinct characteristics. Each species has a unique colour and texture, so there's something for everyone.
With a constant concern to promote sustainability through the re-use of materials, SpacePep's, with its space-focused vision, naturally turned to the Ariane 5 manufacturers. The last launcher in this series took off from Kourou on 5 July 2023.
SpacePep's currently offers metal parts from Ariane 5 boosters (pions, nozzle joining screws, etc.). Other items will soon be added to this collection. The Ariane 5 rocket
Since their first use in 1996, Ariane 5 rockets have accumulated a total of 117 flights. They have been the vehicles of choice for carrying emblematic missions into space. These include Rosetta, the European Space Agency's (ESA) comet-hunting probe, as well as NASA's James Webb Space Telescope and ESA's JUICE probe to explore Jupiter. Ariane 5 rockets have also played a crucial role in Europe's commitment to the International Space Station (ISS), having delivered Automated Transfer Vehicle (ATV) resupply craft on five occasions.
Fontenille Pataud x SpacePep's : a space partnership
After more than 9 months of hard, passionate work defining the sketches, imagining the pictograms, selecting PEFC-certified wood, validating the technique for inserting recycled Ariane 5 rocket steel into the handles, and organising a 100% French production line, SpacePep's and Fontenille Pataud are delighted to offer ‘Earthlings’ three Space Experiences: the Authentique, the Sommelier, and the Coffret de table.
Space Pep's delivers the Ariane 5 recycled wood and steel, and the rest of the story is written in our workshop with the design of original Laguiole knives, but above all space knives. So get ready, everyone, get your Space Pep's Laguiole knives...
